HA Salopettes are the same design as the Salopettes, but are specific to mountaineering and high altitude climbing, where harder and more prolonged usage will be encountered.
The most durable, breathable fabric available is used to patch areas susceptible to crampon damage and abrasion.

Manufacturer description:
HA Salopettes are only recommended for use in dry cold as found at high altitude, because although highly breathable, the patches do not let the shell and pile dry as quickly as the Standard Salopettes, which perform better in damp conditions.
The HA Salopettes are available with either full length side zips, or half zip like the Standard Salopettes. Used by mountaineers, polar expeditions, and outdoor professionals.
They are ideal for mountaineering, winter climbing and activities in cold dry environments where abrasion is a problem.
- Unique highly breathable high tensile patch fabric at knee, inner lower leg and seating area.
- High front and rear bib for maximum warmth.
- Zipped front map pocket.
- Two way upper body zips for access and ventilation.
- Knee length leg zips for access with boots.
- Front to back convenience zip.
- Adjustable elasticated shoulder straps with touch-and-close fastening.
